Sarah Weidmann

ANGELA DEMIKIS LCPC

About Sarah:

Sarah gives her full attention to the people she’s working with, bringing focus and awareness.  Her warmth and care and humor come to life in her sessions. She works relationally and systemically, acknowledging the connection of our bodies and brains to our lived experience in the world. Sarah is excited to work with couples, families, youth, and our youngest ones.  Sarah believes in people’s inherent ability to heal through movement and connection.  She has embodied this in her training as a CYT (RYT soon), beginning stages of SE, and expressive arts work.

Sarah has a special passion for connecting to and working to empower people in the LGBTQ+ community, people who might have been marginalized, people living with new and old grief, and people whose level of anxiety is preventing them from moving forward.  She treats diagnoses ranging from PTSD, BiPolar disorders, Anxiety, ADD and Depression.

Sarah finds healing and playfulness in nature, being a parent and partner in life and rescue dog mom, reciting poetry, and seeing live-performance of all kinds. She may not be a school teacher anymore but she’ll always be an educator.

Sarah’s Background:

  • Completing Northeastern Illinois University’s Master’s in Couples and Family Counseling. Completing SE training (in Beginning stages). Experience in Expressive Arts work through Center of Creative Arts Therapy.
  • RYT-200, training completed with Breathe For Change Summer 2025
  • Graduated from Columbia College Chicago with BFA in Acting and MAT in Elementary Education
  • Taught in social justice based Chicago Public School from 20010-2025.
