Teen Behavioral Issues
Teen Behavioral Issues
We’ll talk about what constitutes good choices, how to become responsible and independent, handling intense feelings and learning good, appropriate social skills to head into the world and stay safe. Our therapists become role models, with their own healthy lifestyles and ability to model good social skills.
Right now, we have had such strong demand for our services that we have a waiting list for teens. Please reach out to us here or on the Contact form to have your teen added to our waiting list. We are trying hard to hire to meet demand, but so many of our clients want to stay for longer support once they have started!
Most important, however, is bringing greater neurological regulation to our teens – basically, helping with stabilization. Without more calm, none of the best teaching or role modeling can stick. We’ll bring walking, yoga, breathing, jumping on a trampoline, stabilizing body work, and our other Tools to the table to get kids more settled. Our teens love thinking outside the box and having permission in sessions to be different!
Learn more about our attitudes towards substance abuse treatment, self-harm/suicidality and teen confidentiality. Our Registered Dietician/Nutritionist, Andrea, also brings a passion and a connection to helping teens struggling with eating issues. Finally read about why we are adamant that working with teens needs to include their ever changing biology.
