Kathleen Young
Kathleen Young, LCSW, comes to FRG with almost 18 years of experience in a variety of clinical settings around Chicago. She has worked with children, individuals, families and couples with kindness, grace and effectiveness. Kathleen enjoys decoding trauma and the impacts of trauma in one’s life – her passion shows in her SE work. She has done much work with neurodivergent folks, as she helps them discover the fascinating sensations in their bodies to understand and manage themselves differently. She is strongly capable with a wide range of diagnoses, including Anxiety, Depression, BiPolar and ADHD.
Kathleen is trained in EMDR , Gottman , and Somatic Experiencing. She uses IFS and ACT as needed, she has a broad depth of skills. Kathleen is committed to guiding you through the challenges of what has happened to you and finding your internal light and strength. She has great faith in your ability to heal!
In her spare time she loves to travel the world. She is also often seen walking her dogs, enjoying their energy.
